TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Candidates

The pool of candidates includes respected scientists working in the fields of infectious and non communicable diseases, neglected diseases or global/public health, whose scientific careers are not yet complete.

A candidate may belong to a research group, university, company or institute closely associated with the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute or the nominator.

Nominators:

Leading scientists and specialists in the field of global/public health, or members of institutions that are in close scientific collaboration with the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.

Every two years, the R. Geigy Foundation confers the «R. Geigy Award» to young scientists and public health specialists who make a significant contribution to the field of neglected diseases or global health. The innovative combination of laboratory and fieldwork is particularly recognized.

The award commemorates Professor Rudolf Geigy (1902–1995), the founder of the Swiss TPH, and is endowed with CHF 20,000 .
